The 365 Prophecies Jesus Fulfilled: Prophecy 2

In our look at the first prophecy of the Bible, we discovered that in Genesis chapter 3 verse 15, that God had promised man a Savior to redeem him by bringing someone who would be "Born of the seed of a woman".A strange term since a woman does not have "seed" within her. Under normal circumstances the seed must come from a man. In the case of this promised Savior, God would supernaturally impart His Son into the woman without the aid of man.In the Book of Hebrews there is an interesting text describing the conversation between the Father and the Son before Jesus took the body of a human being at Bethlehem:Hebrews 10:5-7 "'Therefore, when He came into the world, He said': Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, Behold, I have comeIn the volume of the book it is written of MeTo do Your will, O God. In these three verses we learn that the Old Testament sacrifices for sin were only shadows and pictures of what the true intent of God was all along. It was God's desire from the beginning of man's sin in the Garden of Eden, to forever put away man's sin. The sacrifices that the people brought to the priests in the Old Testament were to prepare our understanding for the day when Jesus would come as a human being and be the one sacrifice that forever paid for our all of our sins and permanently remove them.(Click on the title to read the entire article)
