Daily Walk: A Father Who Delights In Giving To You

Matthew 7:7 �Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"Perhaps as you were growing up your parents said to you that they wanted to teach you to "Stand on your own two feet." Good luck with that...Despite our best efforts life happens and things do not always go according to plan. Even if you go to college, pound the pavement and find a great job, save your money and invest in a 401k, your whole world can change in a single moment. The collapse of the stock market in 2008 and the loss of billions of dollars from American retirement savings, brought all of us into the reality of just how unstable and unreliable this present world system is.
